May 6th: No Homework Day, National Day of Prayer, No Diet Day, National Day to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, Joseph Brackett Day

No Homework Day: That's my homework board at school, and guess what? NO HW!!
No Diet Day: Does it look like I'm dieting?
National Day of Prayer: I'm praying that Dave will eventually put on a shirt.


National Day of Prayer: Prayin for some pizza cuz i'm hungry!




No Diet Day: IT WORKED! PIZZZZZZAAAAA!




No Homework Day: Took a nap instead. I'm getting an A in this class.



National Day to Prevent Teen Pregnancy: My junk ain't gettin no one preggers today.


Joseph Brackett Day: Me Dancin to the song "Simple Gifts"
Day honoring the Shaker religious leader, born May 6, 1797, at Cumberland, ME. In 1848 he composed the popular Shaker song “Simple Gifts” (also known as “ ’Tis the Gift to Be Simple”) while at the Shaker community in Alfred, ME. This Shaker dance song became known worldwide after Aaron Copland used it in his score for the ballet Appalachian Spring in 1944. Elder Joseph Brackett died at New Gloucester, ME, July 4, 1882.
